Blue Ridge Animal Hospital New Client Center

If you’re planning your first appointment at Blue Ridge Animal Hospital, then look no further than this page to find all the information you’ll need to make the most of you and your pet’s visit. Our full line of veterinary services is available to dogs and cats of every breed and age, from new puppies and kittens to adult and senior pets.

As a practice, we strongly emphasize preventive pet care and complete nutrition as the cornerstones of your animal’s lifelong health, and also provide more advanced medical services including veterinary dentistry, surgical care, and digital diagnostics and lab testing as needed.

We hope you’ll take the time to learn more about our practice, meet our team, take a tour of our facility, and find out what we’re all about. If you’re ready to bring your pet in, then please follow the first visit guide below.

Your First Visit

To get started, schedule your pet’s appointment time. You can do this online by clicking here, or call the office at (540) 586-4290.

Once your appointment is confirmed, take a few moments to print and fill out our new client form. We recommend completing this form at home in order to allow yourself plenty of time to gather all the necessary information. You may also fill out a copy when you arrive for your appointment.

Be sure to bring any existing vaccination history and medical records for your pet. If you do not have this information, please plan to provide as much as detail as you can on your pet’s known medical history so that your veterinarian can make appropriate health care recommendations.

Finally, make sure you bring plenty of questions! Your first visit is very important, as it is our first opportunity to get to know you and your pet. Your veterinarian will conduct a nose-to-tail examination and then make custom care recommendations tailored to your pet’s age, breed, size, and lifestyle, as well as your wishes as an owner. If there is anything you’re concerned or curious about, please be sure to bring it up during the appointment.

Payment Options and Policies

Payment is expected at the time service is rendered unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept cash, personal checks, and major credit cards, and make every effort to provide financing options to make your pet’s care affordable. We will work with pet insurance and also accept CareCredit.

More questions? Just give us a call. We look forward to meeting you and your pet!
